Russia’s largest PV cell and module manufacturer Hevel Group and Unilever Group, a transnational consumer goods company signed an agreement of understanding. The companies agreed to cooperate in developing mechanisms of renewable energy supply from Hevel’s solar power plants to Unilever’s manufacturing facility in Russia.
At the next stage companies agreed to conclude free bilateral agreement under which Hevel commits to supply solar energy generated by its power plants constructed in Siberia to Unilever’s ice-cream facility in Omsk region.
Hevel Group operates 20 large-scale solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 369 MW. By 2020 assets located in Siberian region will generate 180 million kWh.
